While walking the beach, certain pieces of driftwood need to picked up and brought to the studio. Once in the studio, I roll out clay and literally slap the clay onto the wood. The clay quickly takes on the texture and shape of the driftwood. A few touch ups and design updates later, the piece comes together to create the perfect charcuterie platter that I have dubbed them: Sea-Cuterie.
The very first piece was inspired by a piece of driftwood that my beloved dog Cassio brought home. Each one is handcrafted and handsculpted, each varying in shape, size and design.
